How to block hackers, bad bots and scrappers from attacking your websites
It all began at the end of 2012 when China and many other hackers were hacking my websites. I was getting warning letters from my hosting service provider and there was nothing I could do to stop the attacks on my sites.
By February 2013 I had decided that enough was enough and all this had to stop. I am a very experienced programmer, having programmed in several Assembly Languages and C++. So I taught myself PHP programming and began developing hack proof code. Before I began developing hackers stopping and wordpress ddos protection software, I developed a caching software first, then a spam proof contact us form. Once I had enough understanding of PHP and server side programming and the confidence to tackle anti-hacking software, I developed The Bad Bot Exterminator.
Powerful Protection Against Hackers, Bad Bots for WordPress websites
I had broken this development into 2 parts. The first part was to block all those log in attempts as I had one site attacked 28,143,987 times within a 24 hour period by login hackers. Another site had 45,000 login attempts in a 24 hour period.
The second part was the development of techniques to block hackers, bad bots, web crawlers, spiders, scrappers and scanners from attacking the webpages on my sites.
I have tested the login blocking features for almost 1 year and 7 months and it has stood the test of time. By blocking wordpress login hack, nobody can log in once the login block is activated .
The second part took 7 months of development and testing. When I began developing The Bad Bot Exterminator, I focused on protecting my WordPress site. As a result I managed to block 39 bad bots within the first month of testing.
There have been many upgrades and improvements since then and The Bad Bot Exterminator can protect WordPress sites.
Blocks Distributed Denial of Service ddos attacks
The last feature implemented was ability to block a distributed denial of service, ddos attack. One of my sites was under heavy attack by two bots and so I implement a scheme that could reduce the impact of such attacks.
As you can see one of the bots has been attacking my site for the last 10 days. It has not ceased its attacks.
I watched this bot and on the 25th of August 2014 I implemented code to reduce the CPU usage during a DDOS attack. The results were fantastic in that the CPU usage dropped to a quarter of that without the DDOS protection. This means that many shared hosting blogs can be protected without excessive CPU usage.

The best way of protecting website from hackers is to block hackers, bad bots, scanners, scrappers and web crawlers from attacking your blogs and wordpress websites - both know and unknown, is to install the Bad Bot Exterminator on your site. It can fend off ddos attacks and brute force login hacks too.
Who knows a day might come when hackers have to get some other day job.
